Cooking is, without a doubt, one of the most important things a person can ever learn. Once someone has that knowledge, that's it - they're set for life. It's no secret that my dream is to see everyone cooking good food from scratch and helping each other to learn new things in the kitchen. Visit jamieshomecookingskills.com

Assessment
In the Edexcel specialist qualifications all units are internally assessed. The qualifications are
criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.
Each unit within the qualification has specified assessment criteria which must be used.
To achieve a ‘pass’ a learner must have satisfied all the assessment criteria.
Cooking Skills (QCF)
The Edexcel BTEC Level 1 and Level 2 Awards in Home Cooking Skills have been developed
to give learners the opportunity to develop:
• the knowledge, understanding and confidence to cook meals at home
• an understanding of how to economise when planning a meal
• an ability to transfer skills learned to different recipes
• an ability to inspire others by transferring that knowledge.
